TLDR- Morning walk around Bohernabreena reservoir with the Kids and Dogs
Bohernabreena Reservoir walk
Today we hike Bohernabreena reservoir. Website for the reservoir says there are 15 parking spots. It’s a gorgeous Saturday morning. To get out the door before 0830 bribed the kids with McDonalds for breakfast. – 9 Hash browns, 2 orders of pancakes, and an egg muffin for breakfast. Apple maps took us to the wrong location, google took us to the right location; Sigh. On the plus side we made to a two thirds full parking lot with plenty of space to park.
Parking lot has a rubbish bin we put some poo bags in – Thanks Dublin for taking care of us.
The walk is mostly level with a bit of a hill at the start of each reservoir. First reservoir had a 45 degree angle grass embankment the kids ran up and rolled down a few times. plus a massive dry spill way. Would love to see it raging water might need to come back during a big rain to see it. Would be something.
We stopped at the upper reservoir for snacks – walked half way around before turning around to head back to roll down the hills again. Happily report everyone had a good day with no injuries.
